We are looking for an enthusiastic Design Engineer Intern to support the Design and Design Methodologies team in Chula Vista, CA to grow the capability and tools of the functional organization. Come join our team!

What You Will Do:

• Assists in developing of data and makes layouts, sketches, and notes for design proposals.

• Participates in investigation of pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replace ability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost.

• Assists in designing, developing and testing metallic or non-metallic structures or materials and their related fabrication processes for use in engineering designs.

What You Will Learn:

• Learn about designs of major components or major portions of functional systems, technically advanced prototypes, and promotional or specific products using computer design and engineering systems.

• Gain knowledge in developing and improving products and facilitates in manufacturing operations.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).

  Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Must be a commutable distance to Chula Vista, CA to work an onsite schedule. This position may be eligible for relocation.

The salary range for this role is - . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
