Description
Position Summary: Includes the following; responsibilities for insuring that clients receive all appropriate services, as well as performance of other work related duties as assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
Resident orientation
Maintenance of resident records
Resident case management
Group and meeting facilitation
Resident supervision
Domestic management
Promote and maintain a therapeutic residential program
Other duties assigned by Site Manager and Director.
Description:
Orient new residents to the house in accordance with policy and compliance with license and funding sources.
Accept administrative responsibilities, prepare professional and accurate records.
Share all responsibilities within the staff office, and participate in maintaining an efficient, clean, and organized workspace.
Conduct groups and meetings, according to your own personal skills and program needs.
Take part in the weekly staff meeting.
Supervise and assist residents with their daily living skills, transportation, social activities, outings, medical appointments, budgeting their finances, medication management, employment, cooking and other Key worker duties.
Report, document and assist with any problems or ill health a resident may have.
Evacuate, supervise and assist residents in a mandatory evacuation or emergency
Help to maintain the house, grounds/garden, and equipment. Organize and participate in house cleaning, shopping and food preparation. Be aware of the general condition of the house and report any dangerous or faulty systems immediately to the Director.
When authorized, arrange for repair and/or participate in the same if needed.
Advocate our agency and present a good public image while in contact with other agencies, referral sources, family members & medical professionals. Promote publicity, interest and inquiries.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Addiction Counseling, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology or related field preferred, and/or at least one year background and experience.
Experience and Competencies:
CPR and First Aid
HIV training
Driving License
In-service training for Resident Rights, Emergencies, Universal Precautions
Limited Mental Health Training
Assistance with Self-Administration of Medication
Food safety
