Citigroup Vice President, Client Executive in Chiyoda, Japan
Vice President, The Client Executive is responsible for delivering superior client satisfaction and enhanced financial results through the proactive management of service and operational issues impacting the target clients.
The primary role of the Client Executive is to coordinate internal resources to ensure that service provided to our clients is the highest quality and that client satisfaction levels are high.
The Client Executive serves as the clients’ advocate within Citi, understanding key business needs and working with internal partners to deliver solutions, adding value for our clients and cross-selling Execution Services products.
In this role, you’re expected to:
The Client Executive will have primary responsibility for covering Securities Finance clients domiciled in Japan
As part of a regional team, coverage of offshore clients should also be anticipated
Responsible for client profitability, day-to-day service and client satisfaction
Manage the delivery of client service reviews to all platinum and priority clients with the necessary follow-up to maintain a frequent pulse check via touch points on the client’s satisfaction levels with business partners
Act as a central point of contact for all key issues impacting client satisfaction. Take ownership for client issues and drive resolution through the rest of the service and operational organization
Drive organic growth of the Securities Finance program through identification of opportunities with the product and trading teams, presenting them to the client for execution
Drive cross-selling opportunities into Execution Services products across the Securities Services client base
Lead strong governance and controls Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation
Develop & maintain network of contacts within Citi (Product, Sales, Network Management, Credit, Legal, Client Delivery, Operations, Technology, etc) in order to effectively deliver results for clients in a timely manner
Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
6-10 years of relevant experience within Markets and or Securities Services
Experience of International Securities Finance is highly desirable.
Understanding of other products including Collateral Management, Foreign Exchange Custody
Comprehensive knowledge of the risk and control environment impacting Citi
Native Japanese speaker / Fluent English speaker
Proven self-motivation and organizational skills.
Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
