The Role
We're looking for a product manager to join our international digital team within Starbucks EMEA. The role will focus on one of our primary products, the Starbucks loyalty programme, and will cross collaborate with a range of international stakeholders.
You’ll have the unique opportunity to partner with technology product owners and managers within the International Cloud Services Team (ICS) and global team in accordance with established standards and best practices and play a key role in acting as a lynch pin between the ICS Team and Global technology on technology strategies and initiatives. In addition, the role will be expected to represent the ICS technology team and in key interactions with market, licensee, regional, and global business and ICS technology Leadership. You’ll partner directly with our key external vendors and partners as well as our critical licensee technology partners, focused on developing strategic and tactical plans, meeting the demands of the business with an optimised technology roadmap for the domain.
You’ll directly impact on the success within Starbucks customer loyalty, by selecting and recommending the technology products and services used in International Regions (EMEA, LAC & AP), based on company standards. Your focus will be the proposition of the SDS Loyalty Programme, supporting global markets with adopting and driving their SDS Loyalty programme(s). You’ll directly impact on the overall profitability of international markets by managing the selection and delivery of key technology products, streamlining operations, and providing enhanced customer and partner experiences. What you’ll do:
Creating and maintaining strategic multi-year technology product roadmaps, gain strategic agreement from key stakeholders both business and functional
Project managing small changes, maintenance projects, or process improvements
Vendor management and second level vendor escalation for technology systems and services
Maintaining and executing a structured approach to problem-solving
Recommending technology investments to meet business objectives and goals
Ensuring the most effective use of tools, processes, and procedures to maintain the production environment
Contributing to relevant technology standards in the Global Licensing Framework
Recommending corrective actions, new or enhanced tools, processes and procedures in support of continuous improvement in meeting business objectives
Working with Global technology teams to ensure EMEA requirements are well understood for both businesses as usual and project work
Collaborating with technology operations team to review supplier SLAs and provide feedback on performance improvements
Providing product guidance and expertise to the business on technology applications, systems, and services
Providing input into global technology budgets for relevant technology software and hardware
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Relevant domain-specific technology experience
Solid experience in technology for retail using Loyalty programmes
Understanding of budgeting and planning
Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to communicate, collaborate and influence a wide range of stakeholders at varying levels, both internally and externally
Customer and business relationship management
Strong analytical skills and technical aptitude
Proven experience collaborating cross-functionally and within a matrixed organisation
Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to plan for and review functional technical specifications
Project management skills
