Additional information can be found at www.ttm.com The Waste Water Supervisor is responsible for supervising and ensuring waste water compliance, waste disposal compliance and environmental compliance. They are also responsible for reporting requirements, obtaining regulatory approval and evaluating and implementation strategies to ensure regulatory requirements are being met. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supervise, train, and direct employees in wastewater treatment and waste disposal operations. Conducts inventories to maintain supply of bulk chemicals. Coordinates waste stream classification, waste handling and disposal, and proper documentation generation and record keeping. Performs inspections, maintains inspection records and generates reports for wastewater and pollution control equipment and hazardous waste. Administers permits for air quality, hazardous waste, industrial discharge, tanks, and storm water discharge. Completes reports pertaining to permits, community right-to-know EPA reporting of toxic chemicals, pollution prevention, and incident reporting. Maintains contingency plan and assists in coordinating emergency or hazardous material response. Conducts and/or administers environmental audits. Conducts environmental engineering review of new processes, process changes, or changes to the facility. Makes recommendations, secures approval, and implements changes. Ensures proper operation of plant water treatment equipment. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Essential Knowledge and Skills: Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills are necessary Previous Haz Mat training is a plus Annual RCRA training and certification Education and Experience: Four year degree in Environmental Engineering/Chemical Engineering and /or equivalent work experience. Two years in waste management also accepted.
