Description
Supervise/Manage QA functions for scheduled/unscheduled maintenance IAW with the CNAFINST 4790.2 (series), Contractor GOP’s and applicable T/M/S Maintenance Instruction Manual (MIMs)/Technical Publications. Perform CNAFINST 4790.2 (series). Squadron Operating Procedure monitoring, quarterly audits, trend analysis. Scheduled/unscheduled Non-destructive Inspections (NDIs), and draft QA related Naval messages identified in the CNAFINST 4790.2 (series). Additionally, QAs will notify the Government Oversight QAR’s of all Flight Critical, Safety of Flight, and mandatory QA inspections, including Functional Check Flights (FCF) Briefs/Debriefs. Ensure contractor QA personnel are present on the hangar bay for all maintenance requiring hydraulic power on aircraft. Ensure all QAR’s assigned to the Contractor maximize maintainer interaction and hangar deck/flight line supervision (defined as >50% of working day), observing and inspecting during maintenance evolutions. Perform or delegate hourly verification of “in-work” or “out-of-work” status on aircraft with NALCOMIS status of same maintenance.
Plan, direct, or coordinate the operations of public or private sector organizations, overseeing multiple departments or locations. Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources, but are too diverse and general in nature to be classified in any one functional area of management or administration, such as personnel, purchasing, or administrative services. Usually manage through subordinate supervisors. Excludes First-Line Supervisors
Education
BA/BS from an accredited college or university in one of the following disciplines: engineering, business, logistics, management, math, sciences, and professional aeronautics with 8 plus years in the performance and execution of U.S. Navy requirements or, AA/AS from an accredited college or university with 10 plus years in the performance and execution of U.S. Navy requirements or, High school graduate or equivalent. With 12 plus years in the performance and execution of U.S. Navy requirements
Capabilities/Skills
Shall have sufficient knowledge and experience to effectively assume responsibility for the overall quality of the Contractor maintenance effort in accordance with the CNAFINST 4790.2 (series).
Capable of performing the functions and be knowledgeable of aviation ground safety and management.
Shall have a valid driver's license.
Experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy.
Must have experienced interpreting technical publications, blueprints, wiring diagrams, aperture cards, and inspection findings; and have complete knowledge and understanding of aircraft logs and records.
