Naval Air Systems Command PROTOCOL SPECIALIST in China Lake, California
Summary You will serve as a PROTOCOL SPECIALIST in the CORPORATE BUSINESS & ANALYSIS GROUP, Command Communications Department, Strategic Communications Division of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Responsibilities You will coordinate, plan, and direct all aspects of distinguished visitor tours, high visibility events, and special command ceremonies You will plan, organize, and execute special events and arrange, coordinate, and conduct base tours. You will perform research, conduct visits, and establish networks and relationships across NAWCWD sites to prepare and enable them to successfully perform duties holistically for the Command. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications (DA-04): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-9/10) or pay band (DA-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning and execution of official visits, including agenda planning and logistics concerns as well as directing others; 2) Coordinating agenda topics with subject matter experts, tailoring communications based on command messaging goals; 3) Interpreting and advising on military protocol guidelines and standards; and 4) Leading teams in executing VIP/DV and community engagement functions. (DA-03): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-5/8) or pay band (DA-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting in the planning and execution of official visits, including agenda planning and logistics concerns; 2) Utilizing knowledge of military protocol guidelines and standards; and 3) Assisting with community engagement activities.
