Hub International Talent Aquisition Specialist in Chilliwack, British Columbia

HUB International is continuously GROWING, and we are looking for individuals with an ENTREPRENEUR mindset to join our Human Resources team in Chilliwack, BC.

HUB is seeking a self-driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to attract and recruit the best candidates for HUB and maintain an exceptional candidate experience. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources you will be working closely with members of the HR team and our hiring managers.

In this role you will oversee full cycle recruitment, onboarding processes and actively source candidates through various platforms to build a robust pipeline. As the main recruiter for HUB, you will evaluate existing hiring practices, explore and implement a range of recruitment strategies and partner with our leaders to source the best people for their teams. Our ideal candidate is a highly driven and efficient self-starter who can work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full cycle recruitment process including job posting, sourcing strategies, screen job applicants and conduct phone interviews, offer negotiations and background checks

  • Proactive recruitment of passive candidates and management of recruitment channels through tools like LinkedIn, Indeed, Workday, Employee Referrals, and our ATS, Phenom

  • Manage candidate process using an applicant tracking system to track candidates, send campaigns, organize event and candidate management

  • Build relationships and work collaboratively with each hiring manager to understand job requirements and expectations

  • Ensure a positive new hire experience by supporting the onboarding process

  • Utilize recruitment metrics and analytics to improve recruiting effectiveness

  • Be a HUB ambassador. Build our employer brand internally and externally by creating inspiring, fun and innovative job postings/ads and attending career events to engage candidates showing the exciting career potential at HUB

  • Contribute to our broader Talent Community for Canada

Required Education/Experience

  • At least 3-5 years professional experience in recruitment, agency, sales or marketing

  • ATS experience and sourcing candidates from various social media platforms

  • Degree or diploma in human resources, business administration, or related field

  • Experience working in a recruitment firm/agency is an asset

  • Exceptional attention to detail and well organized

  • Strong team player who can coordinate and collaborate well with others

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.

  • Proficient with using data analytics to measure recruiting success

  • Experience with employer branding and recruitment marketing, and knowledge of social media best practice to find and hire talent

Salary Expectations

The expected salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $75,000.00 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
