A Mechanical Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Chillicothe, IL area. This position will conduct detailed inspections and root cause investigation into motor and generator failures.

location: Chillicothe, Illinois

salary: $27.81 - 38.93 per hour

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

• Support lab testing of electric drive components and systems - performance and durability testing.

• Inspections involve hands on work consisting of electrical checks, visual inspections, x-ray review, material and fluid analysis.
