You provide software and applications expertise and be responsible for the implementation of the solutions.

How you will contribute

You will oversee the planning and execution of software and applications. To do so, you will manage an internal team and partner with external suppliers and use your deep technical and market knowledge and thorough understanding of our business goals, find and deploy the right software and application solutions for the future. You will support programs to implement regional and global software and application strategies, offer input to financial planning and controls for software and applications on a regional and global level, collaborate with management and follow-up on requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and payments, explores opportunities to leverage scale and drive savings, and ensure that support service level objectives and key performance indicators are accomplished.

  • Deep knowledge of application lifecycle management

  • Project management experience (delivering projects within budget, timeline and quality)

  • Understanding of integration and how different applications talk to each other

  • Understanding of legal & compliance business processes from IT perspective

  • Understanding of security and privacy principles

Describe the broad function and scope of the position:

In this global role, located in the US, you will serve as a highly skilled IT Service Manager supporting our Corporate & Legal Affairs (CLA) business function and be responsible for successful delivery of a high-quality IT operations and projects in support of CLA business objectives and overall strategy. Ensure appropriate IT support is provided to CLA teams to meet agreed upon business requirements and service level agreements. Serve as the liaison between global CLA function and all other internal teams as needed. Serve as the single point of contact for all applications and services in support of CLA (e.g. Legal, Compliance, Communication). Leverage process expertise, ownership and knowledge of application landscape and peer collaboration to drive application standardization and rationalization. Act as vendor relationship manager for strategic partners/3rd party suppliers.

Describe the primary responsibilities of the position in order of importance :

  • Work collaboratively with CLA business stakeholders to develop joint business & technology roadmap along with corresponding budgetary plans

  • Own a portfolio of applications supporting CLA processes, and has deep understanding of capabilities of these solutions coupled with contract and financial management (e.g. annual budgeting, PO issuance, invoice tracking).

  • Knowledge of Enterprise Legal Management (ELM) billing systems is a plus (such as Team Connect or others)

  • Support daily operations of CLA business systems

  • Manage vendor and support partner relationships

  • Identify process and technology improvements leading to IT cost reductions and/or service quality improvements

  • Translates business needs / capabilities into functional requirements and drives CLA application standardization and rationalization for specified sub-processes/areas.

Internal and external contacts:

  • Critical relationships required with the following internal & external individuals/organizations:

  • Functional key stakeholders in CLA such as Legal, Business Integrity, Communication, Corporate and Government Affairs and/or Global Security & Special Investigations

  • Internal teams or other functions e.g. Procurement, Cyber Security or other

  • 3rd party vendors and strategic support partners

More about this role

  • 5+ years of professional experience in IT solution/service delivery (ITIL certification is a plus)

  • 3+ years of experience working and delivering projects on time, within budget and with quality

  • Experience in corporate environment supporting Legal and Compliance functions, with a focus on stakeholder management and application life cycle management

  • Demonstrated experience in creating and executing IT delivery roadmaps in partnership with business stakeholders and business strategy

  • Demonstrated experience working in a team with colleagues and stakeholders across time zones in a global organization

  • Strong leadership and experience in vendor management and partnering with third party service providers

  • Prior experience working with stakeholders at varying seniority levels

  • Knowledge of security and privacy regulations (certifications are a plus)

EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or Business Administration.

COMPETENCIES/ABILITIES:

  • Professional maturity & good business acumen (prior CPG industry experience is a plus)

  • Proactivity, problem-solving, decision making, drive for results, and impacting change

  • Strong systems aptitude (e.g. SaaS/Cloud computing, desktop apps, server and network, cyber security) and coupled with strong business process understanding

  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills

  • Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with business stakeholders, internal IT colleagues and external partners/suppliers

  • Ability to learn on the job and ask questions in order to grow knowledge and skills

  • Ability to cultivate an environment focused on customer satisfaction, delivery, co-operation and trust

  • Ability to see beyond current business/technical situations and provide recommendations for process/systems improvements.
