AON US Enterprise Client Analyst in Chicago, Illinois

What the day will look like

  • Work with Enterprise Client Leader on a specific set of clients, ensuring overall understanding of client dynamics, priorities, and opportunities, with a focus on opportunity development and net new sales

  • Serve as central coordination point for client teams, working with Enterprise Client Leaderss to manage deliverables and follow ups, and serve as an internal point of coordination for key client development strategies

  • Undertake regular research and reporting on client activities through review of publicly available information such as client earnings calls/annual reports and other internal tools.

  • Creation and management of client team deliverables (both internal and external), for example: client discovery meetings, new business proposals, annual review, client planning, relationship mapping, etc.

  • Liaise with Global Sales & Marketing Support (GSMS) team, Enterprise Client Group (ECG) Super Users and Pursuit & Creative team (PaC) on behalf of client teams

  • Review and prioritize data and industry insights from internal and external sources on behalf of client team, share information (such as client news, client results, sector news, thought leadership that could impact the client or their sector) in a timely and consistent basis across client teams

  • Work closely with Enterprise Client Analysts in other regions to define and improve ECG processes, deliverables, and insights, proactively raising opportunities

  • Performs day-to-day execution and task completion; provides frequent status updates to ECLs, and responsible for timely completion of assigned tasks

  • Identifies and resolves escalations or issues with strong emphasis on patterns, trends, and root cause analysis. Assists with problem solving for recurring issues

  • Responds to emails promptly and proactively; manages client team and other internal teams’ responses for timeliness/accuracy

  • Communicates effectively with internal partners for analysis/ resolution of complex issues or project impacts

  • Expected to serve as back-up support (even if not directly aligned) for other Analysts in the region

  • Supports maintenance of documentation/training; assists in the delivery of training

  • Actively seeks additional knowledge of department, tools, and system

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related major

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PPT, Word, etc.)

  • Passionate self-starter who can juggle multiple projects, follow-ups and ultimately deliver projects and assignments on target and on time within a fast-paced environment

  • A mindset towards growth: sales, client relationship management or similar, as well as aspirations to continue developing skills and experience in this space

  • A problem solver - creating simple solutions to complex problems, data-savvy

  • Strong ability to work closely with other colleagues, accepting new ideas and working with others to innovate in real time

  • Ability to independently access, review and analyze financial statements, commentary, press releases, etc.

  • A creative thinker who brings new perspectives and is comfortable challenging the status quo

  • Business acumen and intellectual curiosity

  • Project or account management experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational and relationship skills

  • Demonstrated responsiveness to colleague and leadership requests

    Pay Transparency Laws:

    The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $70,000 - $80,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

    The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, Illinois The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

    This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
