As part of the US CIO office, this role will be part of US IT Controls team supporting US IT Control Assessments and associated BAU activities. US IT Controls team is responsible for analyzing KCIs, issues and trigger events related to US IT Controls environment and completing the required assessments per regulatory requirement. This role will be responsible for US IT Control environment and working closely with technology teams to ensure analysis and assessments are completed accurately and timely. Accountable for successful delivery of US IT Controls related requirements and ensure consistency and accuracy for US IT Controls submission.

As our Technology Controls Program Manager you will:

  • Review of KCIs, issues and trigger events related to US IT Controls

  • Support Technology teams to manage review and challenge from 2LOD and / or internal audit

  • Work closely with technology teams to communicate any findings related to controls

  • Ensure adherence to standard controls and driving teams to achieve compliance and framework, capability management, security controls and technology architecture designs

  • Ensure that all Technology practices and associated tools are being adopted and adhered to

  • Establish effective governance and controls and coordinating cross Technology teams

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $134,500.00 and $201,800.00.

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Qualifications

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Mid-career level

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and validate complex and dynamic information from multiple sources and incorporate this information into a concise assessment of the control environment

  • Project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and provide deliverables as scheduled

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate with the control owner/control owner delegate on the effectiveness of controls

  • Detail oriented and self-motivated

  • In-depth knowledge of IT processes including System Development Life Cycle, Change Management, Identity Access Management, IT Asset Management, Vulnerability Management, etc

  • Ability to integrate subject matter expertise with industry best practice expertise to document a clear assessment of internal controls that includes a determination and rationale for control effectiveness

  • High-level understanding of the issue management process including impact and likelihood

  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships

  • Perform analysis of Key Control Indicators and complete root cause analysis for KCIs that fall below the allowable threshold

  • Ability to interpret and follow internal guidance, policies, and standards for the assessment of the control environment
