Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

Assess application performance and optimize and improve it through design and best coding practices. Act as an expert in core data structures as well as algorithms and implement them using the language of choice. Provide technical leadership and define, develop, and evolve software in a fast-paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure. Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements and vision. Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project. Identify the scope of the work, while providing an initial estimate and justify the estimate with facts. Apply Agile software development lifecycle and distinguish the core inputs and outputs in each cycle. Engage in technical discussions while participating in technical designs and present technical ideas through whiteboarding. Execute in a fast-paced delivery mode and focus on delivering tasks to meet the product release goal. Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing, and code quality automation. Understand the whole product, its modules, and the interrelationship between them while being an expert in the assigned component or module. Design interfaces and information exchange between modules. Articulate the need for scalability and understand the importance of improving quality through testing. Continually ensure that all processes within purview adhere to all applicable standards, laws, and regulations.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field. Six (6) years of progressive experience in software applications development. Work experience to include: Object Oriented analysis and design, software design patterns and Java coding principals; Six (6) years of experience in Java; Hands on experience utilizing Spring Framework including Core, MVC, Integration and Data; RESTful web service deployment and Microservices (SOAP webservice); Junit and JMock; SQL, Database, and Stored procedure; Container based development and deployment; JPA, Hibernate, Spring Data, and Servlet; Angular, HTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON; and Git, Scrum and Agile. Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.
