Position Description:
Cybersecurity exercises are an integral part of Global Information Security’s strategy to improve cyber readiness and proactively reduce risk. They contribute to the training and coordination between Global Information Security and the bank’s lines of business through discussion and operations-based exercises. This role will design, execute, and facilitate cyber-focused exercises to identify opportunities for improvement across the “people, process and technology” strategic framework. Observations from exercises are reviewed, approved, assigned and actively tracked to completion. The Senior Exercise Planner will work with key partners to lead the efforts of designing threat scenarios, identifying participants, and executing the exercise against the planned scenarios.
Additionally, this role will coordinate with both internal and external partners to proactively identify cybersecurity exercise opportunities based on the current threat landscape. This includes routinely interacting with and influencing multiple organizations and levels of leadership, including executives. Applicants should have a proven track record of leadership and navigating across organizational lines.
Desired Skills:
4-6 years of demonstrated performance designing and executing a variety of exercise types
Problem Solving: The ability to draw upon past knowledge and experiences to find a solution and define a path of action
Mentoring: Fosters the development and training of new hires enabling individual growth and overall program maturation
Self-Motivation: Demonstrated ability to lead with limited oversight to deliver on commitments
Cybersecurity proficiency: Strong knowledge of cyber security threats, issues, and security controls
Data Capture & Analysis: Ability to quickly assimilate complex discussions to identify and capture risk
Facilitation: Ability to manage a large virtual audience and guide a planned exercise to accomplish established goals and objectives
Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills in both group and individual settings
People skills: Comfortable presenting to various levels of management and leading by example with a strong sense of teamwork
To note: Role may require adjustment to work schedule based on regional exercise requirements.

This job is responsible for assessing the bank's technologies, applications, and overall security controls to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities that may impact Bank of America's information security. Key responsibilities include understanding and complying of the Bank’s Global Information Security policy and relevant cyber security threats to complete security assessments. Job expectations include providing expert technical guidance to support partners and adapting testing methods to emerging cyber security regulations and evolving threats, while developing others on the team.
