Job Summary

• Oversee and manage kitchen staff, ensuring training and adherence to Levy quality standards.

• Assist in hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of culinary staff.

• Provide leadership and guidance during service hours, maintaining organized and efficient kitchen environment.

• Ensure proper execution of all food prep, cook, and presentation standards.

• Supervise preparation and cooking of food to ensure quality, consistency, and food waste control.

• Monitor food temperatures, plating, and presentation, ensuring dishes meet Guy Fieri’s and Levy quality standards.

• Collaborate with Executive Sous Chef in planning, execution and implementation of catering and private party events.

• Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of food and supplies in compliance with safety standards.

• Track food cost, waste, product usage, and labor reports to control costs.

• Maintain accurate records of food orders, inventory, safety/sanitation, and production logs.

• Assist the Executive Sous Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations, optimizing workflows, and ensuring high standard of service.

• Work closely with front-of-house staff and management to ensure smooth service, guest satisfaction, and timely food delivery.

• Assist the Executive Sous Chef with administrative tasks, including food orders, staffing schedules, and performance.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of culinary experience, with at least 3 years in Sous Chef or Sr. Sous Chef position in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

• Ability to manage and motivate a kitchen team to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.

• Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.

• This position may require the following valid certifications; ServSafe Food Certification, ServSafe Alcohol Certification, Maricopa County approved Food Handler certification.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, knife skills, and kitchen operations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to provide constructive feedback and resolve conflicts.

• Knowledge of and ability to adhere to food safety regulations, best practices, and sanitation requirements.

• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast paced environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, inventory management software, timekeeping software, and POS systems.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, ascend and descend stairs

• Exposure to heat, steam, and cold temperatures within the kitchen environment.

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.

• Manual dexterity and coordination to perform tasks such as chopping, cutting, and food preparation.

• Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel.
