Jacobs Senior Proposal Coordinator, Cities & Places + Growth Markets in Chicago, Illinois
A key member of our Sales team, the Senior Proposal Coordinator leads or supports a variety of business development assignments, ranging from highly strategic proposals to smaller proposals and qualification statements. The ideal candidate will be organized, accountable, and will demonstrate responsibility for meeting deadlines and following through on commitments. All members of our Strategic Sales Operations (SSO) team are expected to be self-starters who: possess excellent oral and written communication skills; develop creative solutions to tackle challenges; are team players ready to support each other; and have a vested interest in the success of Jacobs. Each day will present different activities and opportunities as you help position Jacobs for success in our sales efforts.
Our Senior Proposal Coordinators are responsible for the following general activities:
Lead the coordination and preparation of proposals of all sizes, working directly with technical staff; may support large, strategic pursuits, working under the guidance of senior Sales staff
Support planning and development of small to mid-sized presentations and interviews
Coordinate/provide direction to graphic designers, publishing technicians, editors, reprographics specialists, and other support staff, independently coordinate with and collect information from teaming partners and subconsultants
Prepare and ensure compliant and timely proposal deliverables by managing self and proposal team, and meeting client requirements
Thoroughly understands and applies knowledge of Jacobs identity standards, structure, organization, business approach, and sales process
Employ and populate/update (as appropriate) business development-related tools and databases

Bachelor's degree preferably in a business, marketing, communication, technical, or other related field
At least four (4) years of experience in proposal management/coordination in the A/E/CM markets
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Proposal coordination experience in the built environment (cities and places)
Experience with public RFPs requiring SF330 submissions
Ability to work successfully with others in multiple disciplines and in international locations/varied time zones
This position offers a flexible combination of remote and in-office options based on our current environment, client needs, candidate location, and ability to work independently successfully. Candidates from other U.S. EST and CST locations not listed below are welcome to apply.
