UL, LLC Senior Equity Administration Analyst in Chicago, Illinois

Hybrid on-site (3) days a week in our downtown Chicago office

This role will be part of the global Total Rewards team and report directly to the Equity Administration Senior Manager. You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day administration of our equity programs and ESPP, audits, and ad hoc program in alignment with the Total Rewards strategy to achieve business and HR objectives. You will also perform data reconciliations and validations, focus on SOX compliance, and support equity administration tasks in line with equity events.

  • Assist with the day-to-day administration of the global equity programs by providing support in processing various transactions, including annual equity grants, stock exercises, vestings and releases, cancellations, and ESPP purchases within appropriate timing expectations set by SEC and IRS rules.

  • Prepare quarterly reconciliations for review and approval as part of SOX compliance. Support internal and external audits for quarterly reviews and year-end audits, ensuring adherence to SOX controls related to the equity compensation process.

  • Assist with Fidelity PSW data maintenance for accuracy of payroll and HR data as a result of data integration feeds.

  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation, increasing efficiency and reducing operational risks.

  • Collaborate with the Finance and Accounting teams to facilitate accurate and timely financial reporting related to equity programs.

  • Assist with employee communications relating to equity compensation and ESPP, including responding to participant questions and resolve issues meeting company SLA.

  • Provide support to Director, Executive Compensation and partner with key stakeholders in our Finance, Legal, Payroll and HR teams, to ensure compliance with securities and tax laws, regulations and disclosure requirements, and global payroll reporting.

  • Stay current with industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices.

  • Support ad hoc projects as needed to support team functions.

  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in an analytical role, preferably in an analytical role, financial reporting, SOX audit, or similar in a public company setting to include (3) years equity compensation experience/knowledge.

  • Experience using equity administration systems, preferably Fidelity PSW equity platform.

  • Analytical, forward-thinking, and solution focused professional with excellent attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to manage complex data sets and calculations.

  • High level of proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.), PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and similar functions.

  • Comfort performing data gathering/validation, reconciliations, and audit.

  • Strong verbal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with various teams across the organization and employees at all levels.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently and with others, multi-task, prioritize, follow through, and meet deadlines within a fast-paced work environment.

  • Equity Compensation Associate (ECA) or above preferred.

Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $89,900-119,800 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
