We have an exciting opportunity to join our organization as a Senior Data Scientist!
Job Summary
- The Senior Data Scientist is responsible for developing, implementing and optimizing statistical and machine learning models to support the revenue management department. This role is for the SME of revenue management related data and is expected to work closely and in partnership with the other data scientists and data engineers across the organization and brand. We are looking for a candidate with strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a passion for finding new ways to solve business problems.
Essential Responsibilities
Responsible for analyzing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions.
Design, develop and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems.
Conduct data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data analysis to derive actionable insights
Stay up to date with latest developments in machine learning, implementing best practices to ensure robust and efficient models
Conduct experiments, tune hyperparameters, and apply advanced techniques to improve model accuracy and efficiency
Create metrics and alerts to continuously evaluate the performance of new and existing models to identify improvement opportunities dynamically
Conduct ad-hoc analyses as needed to support various business initiatives.
Create business intelligence, dashboards, visualizations, and/or other advanced analytics reports to adequately communicate findings to stakeholders
Requirements/Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field required. Master’s degree in related field a plus.
3-5 years of experience in business analytics, statistical modeling, and data science is required.
High proficiency in SQL (Big Query preferred) and Python, and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau required.
Strong experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g. scikit-learn) and cloud platforms (preferably Google)
Intermediate understanding of data engineering concepts and tools required.
Familiarity with GitHub, DevOps and CI/CD concepts required.
Detail-oriented, analytical ability and strong oral/written communication skills are also required.
Must be able to work well with others in a time-sensitive team environment with a flexible attitude focused on delivering outcomes.
Must have the ability to independently structure/resolve problems by incorporating/balancing relevant factors and grasping mathematical concepts related to revenue management and pricing.
Ability to meet deadlines, service level commitments, and prioritize multiple tasks independently.
Experience in the Heath Care Industry or in Revenue Management a plus
Annual pay range: $135-150k
