Position: Senior Data Analyst, Credit Risk

Wage: \$145,000 - \$165,000 / per year*
Job Duties: Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decisionmaking, policy formulation, or other managerial functions. Collect and analyze data and develop decision support software, services, or products. Play a key role in evaluating, monitoring portfolio and mitigating losses (fraud and credit losses). Develop credit policies from the ground up for new lending products and continuously iterate to improve credit product approval criteria, line assignment and pricing strategies including renewals. Be responsible for the risk performance and fair lending analysis of various lending products to ensure compliance with industry regulations. Create strategies to mitigate losses on incoming funds, including ACH payments, and partner with our Funding team (product, engg, ops) to implement them. Work closely with the team on evaluating and monitoring key risk metrics related to fraud losses and member experience for example ACH returns, dispute rates, credits, reversals, chargebacks, recovery rates, write-offs, etc. Deep dive into past and ongoing trends and provide data driven insights to create solutions to problems as well as dashboards for constant monitoring. Create dashboards and monitor performance across relevant dimensions and create alerts to highlight any anomalies or unusual trends. Work closely with Data Science and Machine Learning teams to segment customers based on risk and help automate the processes to build scalable solutions. Collaborate with various data teams to build data infrastructure and establish reporting dashboards that will help senior management understand credit risk trends and exposures. Leverage external and internal Chime data to build credit models and policies in partnership with our Data Science team. Work with cross functional teams across the company (including core banking) to measure the impact of lending products on their businesses and also help them out on their analytical needs. Minimum Requirements: Masters degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a data/risk analyst-related occupation.

Special Requirements: Position requires at least 2 years of experience in each of the following skills:
- Utilize experience in the fintech industry with a focus on credit risk management, and knowledge of credit risk principles and methodologies;
- Utilize knowledge of creating and improving collection strategies to develop and optimize underwriting strategies;
- Utilize knowledge of data analysis using Python, SQL, R and STATA to handle large datasets and perform complex data manipulations;
- Utilize knowledge of data visualization tools particularly Looker to create insightful dashboards and reports;
- Utilize knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical methods for model development, validation, and monitoring;
- Utilize knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the credit risk domain, knowledge of fair lending practices under FCRA, ECOA, Dodd-Frank and Consumer Protection Act, and experience with drafting policy documents for bank approval to address responses to banking authorities and regulators;
- Utilize development background with the ability to automate processes for scripting and programming to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
*The base offered for this role and level of experience is reflected above. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
