Wells Enterprises Senior Analyst, Revenue Management in Chicago, Illinois
The Sr. Analyst of Revenue Management is responsible for the overall improvement of sales related investments within the Grocery Channel. The Sr. Analyst owns ROI improvement on expenditures such as Variable Trade, Slotting, Field Marketing, and other customer related spending. Reviews customer level trade programming and recommends ways to improve programming to enhance ROI. Works cross-functionally with sales teams to explain programming changes and implementation recommendations.
Responsibilities:
Lead margin improvement for Wells Enterprises within the Grocery Channel
Evaluates all trade programs within the Grocery channel to ensure that ROI is accretive to margin targets and in line with customer performance expectations
Responsible for ensuring programming falls within Revenue Growth Management (RGM) guidelines
Conduct monthly reviews with Sales teams to evaluate current programming and suggest changes to improve both top-line revenue delivers and bottom-line margin performance
Evaluates slotting decisions, payback time, and suggests ways to make changes to fixed spending to drive revenue
Works cross-functionally with finance, trade development, and sales to ensure that recommendations are agreed to and implemented at the customer level
Set suggested retail pricing within the Grocery Channel and evaluate trade spending associated with that pricing
Establishes Lowest Net Unit Costs for the Channel focused on both competitive retails and margin need to deliver accretive revenue profile
Salary for the role is $85,000-$105,000 with a 10% bonus and also includes full insurance benefits (health/vision/dental) as well as 401(k)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (Mathematics, Business, Economics, Computer Science); MBA preferred
5+ years in a financial analysis, pricing analysis, or other highly analytical role. Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience and knowledge of Nielsen / IRI data an asset
Familiar with pricing and trade optimization
Superior Excel skills required, including the ability to manipulate large sets of data.
Strong communication skills with ability to explain complicated scenarios to others.
Courage to make difficult decisions and recommendations.
Ability to understand and develop business cases, understand cost/benefit models.
Ability to interact professionally with a wide range of people and skillsets across all departments and functionalities within the organization.
