Job Summary:

The Senior Advisor, Enterprise Ethics, Compliance and Privacy is responsible for the effective administration of the company’s Enterprise Policy & Disclosure Management system, development, implementation and enforcement of various policies and procedures including but not limited to: Drafting and updating policies, Implementing and Communicating Policies, and supporting adherence to Policies & Procedures. This vital role will work with stakeholders to identify company’s policy’s needs, support/provide guidance- any updates to policies, develop training and education, along with providing day-to-day support to stakeholders related to policy & disclosure management life cycle. Reporting to and in collaboration with the Vice President of Ethics, Compliance and Privacy. The Sr. Advisor maintains enterprise policy & disclosure management system, tracks progress, and prepares reports for stakeholders. The Senior Advisor will support Business Development and M&A Integrations, performs analysis, and implements recommendations concerning the overall policy management process. The Enterprise Sr. Advisor will assist and support with Policy and Procedure Oversight Committee (PPOC).

This is a remote position with occasional travel required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Represent and support the FSC Enterprise Ethics, Compliance and Privacy team, and support policy committee objectives and internal stakeholders.

  • Leads, prepares, executes, reports, and monitors Enterprise Compliance Program policy administration oversight.

  • Drafting and Updating Policies -crafting comprehensive and clear policies.

  • Supports business development and Integration teams to analyze acquired companies’ policies, data to identify key policy resources and needs to support integration.

  • Reconcile available policy data to measure adoption rates of policy management system.

  • Lead ongoing Policy management system requests, reviews, revisions, and approvals.

  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their needs, gather input, and ensure that policies are comprehensive, clear, and aligned with legal /compliance/regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Maintain policy & disclosure management system, profiles and policy files as needed. Manage user access (new users/changes - locations/roles/approval limits/etc.).

  • Provide guidance to Stakeholders regarding the policy & disclosure management system; Ability to manage and/or resolve escalated policy issues that cannot be completed by Stakeholders.

  • Performs policy management system maintenance (reviewing, resolving discrepancies, disputing, etc.). Works through and resolves any and all policy matters.

  • Assist and Supports with Policy and Procedure Oversight Committee (PPOC) meetings.

  • Builds relationships with department leaders and market leaders who are part of policy process improvement activities and communicates expectations, needs, and objectives of using the policy management system.

  • Create, revise, and implement Policy Management system process, implementation and communication strategies, education and trainings, collaborate and provide guidance on enforcing adherence to policies.

  • Support and assist with the Enterprise Annual Compliance Risk Assessment, Compliance Work Plan, Compliance Plan and Annual Report, as needed.

  • Support and Assist with Enterprise Compliance Ethics Helpline, as needed.

  • Prepare policy & disclosure management system reports/dashboards, coordinate, and report out to key stakeholders routinely, as needed.

  • Other tasks, projects and responsibility assigned by the Enterprise Ethics, Compliance and Privacy Leadership.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred in a related healthcare field or equivalent experience relating to compliance (5 years minimum)

  • A minimum of five (5) years of project management, Compliance Program management or oversight (which may include: policy administration and/or management experience).

  • Certifications in Compliance, HIPAA or equivalent, preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving and troubleshooting skills, and utmost confidentiality are required.

  • Ability to quickly identify policy trends/patterns and proactively respond.

  • Experience in project management including planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing priorities towards the successful completion of a project.

  • Experience in Homecare, Home Health Care, Healthcare, or related industry preferred.

  • Working knowledge of federal and state regulations including HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong project management & leadership skills with the ability to lead, facilitate, motivate, and organize.

  • Ability to juggle multiple critical projects and tasks.

  • Highly motivated, self-starter, team player, with positive attitude and strong quantitative, and relationship-building skills.

  • Excellent Excel skills - i.e., ability to create basic pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc. and comfort utilizing policy management software.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to quickly identify potential compliance gaps and adapting policies to dynamic organizational needs.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related policy management software program

  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail

  • Ability to adapt to change and flexibility.

  • Ability to research, learn quickly and to creatively solve new problems with the ever-changing regulatory landscape.

  • Ability to influence and settle differences quickly and peacefully.

  • Energetic team player with a positive attitude and curious mindset.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Quarterly travel; may fluctuate based on business needs

  • Willing to provide support and be accessible across various US time zones
