Position Summary:

Sales Administrators interact with several departments to provide customers with submittals, quotes, project information, operation & maintenance manuals, and sales literature for projects and inquiries. This position reviews documentation for sales orders to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness to ensure a smooth order entry process by Inside Sales.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews orders prior to release to assure all necessary components of a contract are present, pricing is correct, relevant approvals have been secured and documents are attached, and regulatory compliance requirements have been met.
  • Manages quote requests for products and/or services received from customers and distributes them to Inside Sales, Estimators, or Outside Salespeople.
  • Follows up with customers via phone or email to determine project quote status.
  • Oversees literature inventory, replenishes when necessary, and assists sales with distribution to customers where applicable.
  • Handles customer and BI employee registration via several supplier portals for classes, seminars, and other educational opportunities held at Bornquist or suppliers facilities.
  • Updates Opportunities, Tasks, and Activities in CRM, attaching quotes, documents, and recording details of customer interactions.
  • Collects submittals and IOMs from vendors, combines, and distributes to customers.
  • Monitors general Sales e-mail and distributes as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Associate\'s Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Computer skills required:

  • Proficiency utilizing Enterprise software (Prophet 21 by Epicor). Training can be provided.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general internet functionality.

Other skills required:
