ASRC Federal Holding Company Records Information Manager 4 in Chicago, Illinois

The Records Information Specialist 4 is responsible for

  • indexing and compiling the AR indexes and the ARs (including updates)

  • performing QA/QC; maintaining the ARs electronically; responding to AR circulation requests regarding ARs

  • working with site attorneys, Remedial Project Managers and On-Scene Coordinators in creating the AR

  • coordinating the placement of the AR Availability Notices & establishing repositories for Removal ARs

  • consulting with the RIM V and the Task Order Contracting Officer Representative (TOCOR) regarding AR issues and problems.

  • providing the RIM V with weekly and monthly reports; training and evaluating new employees and supervising the AR staff; and cross training existing staff.

This position requires

  • Bachelor's degree in Library/Information Science and 5 years of experience or a Master's degree in Library/Information science and 2 years of records/library experience that includes a team leadership or some type of management experience.

  • Experience with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

  • Employee must be able to work as a team member in a team environment and be able to communicate effectively, patiently and courteously with others.

  • Physical demands include full range of arm movement, e.g., lifting above the head, ability to do data entry for long periods of time, ability to sit for long periods of time, usage of step or regular ladders to reach higher shelves, ability to lift at least 40 pounds in weight on a near daily basis, pushing or pulling 160 pounds on a cart, and the abilities to bend, stoop, and kneel. Primarily works in an office environment; office appropriate attire required.
