Job Description Summary
CW Multifamily Floating / Roving Property Managers are responsible for maintaining our Chicago and Midwest residential multifamily communities to a market-ready standard, ensuring a high level of service at all times. Floater / Rover Multifamily Property Managers are also responsible for building and motivating high performing teams to maximize the performance of each property assigned to while onsite.
Chicago, suburbs, and surrounding states - requires ability to travel across state lines for property alignment as needed. Travel onsite fulltime within multifamily footprint.
Hourly $35-$36 starting wage, full-time, onsite travel assignment to CW multifamily midwest properties.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Assisting the Multifamily Regional Property Managers with the overall operations of the building/property assigned.
Ensuring the smooth onsite running of our multifamily rental community in a fast-paced environment.
Overseeingall multifamily propertyoperationsincludingmaintenance,capitalimprovements,leaseadministration, budgeting,forecasting,reporting,collections,evictions,vacancyanticipation,marketing,lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, etc.
Providing superior customer service and communication to our multifamily midwest property residents and prospects to enhance customer satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.
Completelease/renewalpaperworktoensurecompletiontocompany standards.
Trackandevaluateadvertising,andallclient traffic.
Leadingbyexample,Instilling,maintaining,andmodelingthe Cushman & Wakefieldmission tobethebest national management company.
Superviseday-to-dayoperationsofentireon-siteteam as assigned,ensuringthatall Cushman & Wakefieldpoliciesand procedures are being followed.
Maintaineffectiveon-sitestaffthroughinterviewing,hiring,andcoachingteamasnecessary.
Maintain multifamily residents'filesinaccordancewithcompany's standards. Yardi.
Maintainapositivelivingenvironmentfor multifamilycommunityresidentsthroughpromptconflict resolution and consistent follow-up.
Manageandmaintainallaspectsofoverall multifamilycommunitybudgetand finances.
Workwithleasingstafftoensurethatleasing/marketinggoalsarebeingmet.
COMPETENCIES:
Effective professional communication and written/verbal customer service skills
Computer literate, including Yardi, Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation skills
General office, bookkeeping and sales skills and excellent professional oral and written communication skills
Determine leasing opportunities of staff and work on goal setting; improving the performance of each staff member.
Supervise day-to-day operations of team, ensuring that all C&W policies and procedures are being followed.
Work with leasing staff to ensure that leasing/marketing goals are being met.
Be able to manage a team onsite as assigned.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
I MPORTANT E DUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
High School Diploma, GED, Technical or Vocational school required
IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE
3+ years of onsite Multifamily Property Management experience.
1+ years of fee managed / third party property management experience.
Flexible for assignment as needed in Chicago, suburbs, and 5 midwest states, travel/transportation, and schedule.
Strength in onsite property operations, Yardi, financials/reporting, communication, leadership
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Regularly required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to stand and walk for extended or continuous periods of time. They must be able to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. The employee may also be regularly required to remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time; regularly operate office machinery.

The compensation for the position is: $30.60 - $36.00
