Brand Program Manager

Opportunity

The Kohler Brand team’s ability to deliver world-class creative content is largely dependent on the stellar ability of the program management team. We’re currently searching for an experienced program manager to join our ranks and continue this tradition. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives. This person should be a natural leader with strong talent for project coordination and delegation. Ultimately, the program manager should be motivated by a desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion.

This position drives a portfolio of creative projects and accompanying communication tactics and manages marketing communications projects to promote purposeful messaging, both internal and external, on behalf of the KOHLER® brand. This program manager will be responsible for the creative deliverables for omni-channel campaigns, including concept/layout, copy, design, photography, and audio and video production, driving projects to completion both on time and on budget.

The successful candidate must possess detailed knowledge of project management fundamentals, have creative problem-solving skills, be detail-oriented and assertive, possess excellent organization skills, and be self-directed. Additionally, this candidate must be able to build and maintain productive working relationships with key partners, including internal marketing partners and external vendors.

Specific Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Manage projects both small and large (more than $500,000 in budget) for the Communications group to support marketing plans and business goals as assigned by Communications Director of Project Management.

  • Manage digital, print, OOH, brand activations, and video- and studio-based communication projects in partnership with account managers and business marketing team.

  • Plan and direct work from Kohler’s internal Centers of Excellence for the projects managed.This may include, but is not limited to, concept/layout, copy, design, photography, and audio and video production.

  • Utilize Workfront for project management disciplines, including communication plan, timelines, change orders, work breakdown structures, and weekly management status reports.

  • Develop project timelines and budgets and manage them in order to deliver all projects on time and on budget.

  • Stay current on developments in the industries serviced by Kohler Company as well as developments in communications and marketing across all communications channels.

  • Serve as a process-improvement leader for all managed processes and department-wide initiatives.

  • Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement.

  • Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance.

  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks and produce program reports for managers and stakeholders.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, project management, or similar field.

  • In-depth understanding of the creative and production process.

  • 3-5 years of experience with a work management system, Workfront preferred

  • Ability to manage 5-25 projects of various sizes simultaneously.

  • Exceptional skills in leadership, time management, facilitation, and organization

  • Experience in managing stakeholders

  • Working knowledge of digital marketing

  • Outstanding knowledge of change-management principles and performance-evaluation processes

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in an agency, communications, or other similar environment, planning and/or leading small-to medium-sized communications projects.

  • Must be a strategic thinker and problem solver and an assertive communicator (both written and oral) with experience influencing others

The salary range for this position is $98,900 - $125,600. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
