Primary Purpose
Join Exelon's Work and Asset Management team to help set direction for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Platform as part of the Technical Architecture and Strategy Team.
The EAM Transformation program is a multi-year program intended to transform Exelon’s Work, Asset and Supply business capabilities and deliver the Enterprise Asset Management solution. The IT-Principal Architect role will be responsible for developing the strategy, standards, and architecture to support implementation of the EAM platform, products, and solutions to meet the intended business objectives.
The role will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, partners, and project team members to document the strategy and architecture for the EAM products and platform.
Plan and manage resources, finances, scope and services within a functional area of Information Technology to deliver business results. Provide IT products, services and solutions on time, within budget and with the required functionality. Establish, maintain and enhance relationships with clients. Participate in developing and implementing strategy/policy. Manage large-scale projects of high complexity, size and change management risk.
Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
Note: This is a hybrid position (in-office with remote flexibility). Employees are required to be in office at least three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
Primary Duties
Provide technical expertise to IT and business teams to identify technology solutions and strategies to achieve business results. Ensure appropriate implementation of technology within both the development and production environments.
Act as a thought leader within Architecture community and challenge the status quo.
Be visible and approachable to Architects and Engineers at all levels.
Provide significant contributions to the development and governance of Architecture standards, patterns & practices.
Ensure operational clarity on regulatory requirements, including the impact of privacy, data retention, accessibility, and security requirements across the enterprise.
Through consistent and direct collaboration with business stakeholders, produce translations of business capabilities into practical & cost-effective technology roadmaps, ready for implementation by project and delivery teams.
Establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with business and IT partners. Communicate status to key stakeholders on a regular basis.
Maintain awareness of trends and issues in area of technical expertise, evaluate new technologies or technology opportunities, and provide analysis of their potential impact to advantage the business.
Provide input to IT managers on the performance of IT personnel to assist in performance evaluations, career development, and recognition.
Job Scope
Maintain deep knowledge of technology and its application across Exelon.
Promote knowledge via seminars, presentations and publications within IT and Exelon.
Determine appropriate theories, practices and principles that relate the technology to Exelon's business.
Contribute technological innovation to drive new business opportunities and solve complex business problems.
Operate independently with little or no supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and typically 7 to 10 years in solid, diverse experience in IT, with a focus in Architecture or in lieu of degree, 10+ years combination of education and relevant work experience.
Experience in emerging technology strategy, research, and development.
Experience designing complex solutions across the Enterprise.
Ability to author and evangelize structured Architecture practices.
Experience designing and deploying hybrid cloud solutions and roadmaps.
Experience building, architecting, designing, and implementing highly distributed global systems.
Great leadership skills: Influence, collaboration, communication etc.
Comprehensive understanding of change management techniques associated with new technology implementation.
Experience producing an economic business case.
Strong judgment, excellent analytical ability, and consulting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven Prior Architecture Experience (Solution, Application, Enterprise practice).
Strong knowledge of IFS products and solutions - EAM specialization.
IFS Scope Tool Expertise.
In Depth knowledge of IFS out of the box modules and IFS Solution Delivery Methodology.
Azure Cloud Platform Experience
Architecture Certifications(TOGAF or Similar)
Benefits
Annual salary will vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors:USD $136,000.00/Yr. - USD $204,000.00/Yr.
