Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire an energetic and detail oriented licensed Registered Nurse for the Ludeman Developmental Center located in Park Forest, Illinois to evaluate the day-to-day performance of assigned staff. Makes rounds on assigned units to observe and verify the ongoing provisions of a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment are adhered to. Functions as a Nursing Coverage Supervisor, on a rotation basis to ensure direction and guidance and administrative decision making is available to nursing personnel at the facility on a 24-hour basis. Job Responsibilities
- Serves as Nursing Coverage Supervisor for the Ludeman Developmental Center.
- Serves as full-line supervisor.
- Functions as a Nursing Coverage Supervisor, on a rotational basis, to ensure direction and guidance and administrative decision making is available to nursing personnel at the facility on a 24-hour basis.
- Serves as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team to develop and review nursing services within context of the Individual Habilitation Plan.
- Conducts Annual Medical Recertification of assigned staff.
- Participates in Nursing Supervisor meetings, facility meetings, unit meetings and committees as scheduled.
- Serves as liaison for nursing services to physician consultants, community hospitals and clinics, parent, and guardians, as appropriate.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
