Maintenance Mechanic

Hiring a maintenance mechanic in the Chicago, IL area. Hiring immediately.

Pay : $26-$29.50/hr

Shift : 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. Overtime required.

Job Description:

• Mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial equipment (Boilers, Blast Furnaces, Cranes, forging Presses, Hydraulic Presses, Pumps, Gearboxes, Mobile Equipment, etc.

• Need to be well versed with power transmission knowledge

• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems

• Perform MIG and STICK welding, cutting, and fabrication work

• Ability to read blueprints for repairs

• Use of hand and power tools for repairs

• Teardown and rebuilding of equipment

• Regular preventative maintenance on all machinery

• Repair or replace belts, bearings, chains, shafts, sprockets, cylinders, and gearboxes

• Greasing, oiling, and lubrication of parts and equipment

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Millwright

• Hydraulics experience

• Overhead crane maintenance

• Equipment Maintenance (ex: boom cranes, overhead cranes, forklifts, bobcats, machine tools)

• Welding experience
