Lead Java Engineer

The leading provider of product content orchestration is growing out one of their Chicago divisions. They’re hiring for a Lead Java Engineer that’s interested in taking ownership and technical direction of moving their system to an event-driven architecture.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Java and Object-Oriented Programming fundamentals, as well as decent SQL skills. Additionally, they will have experience owning their work from design through implementation and deployment as well as experience mentoring and guiding a team. The tech stack will include Java, Kotlin, Springboot, AWS services, Terraform, and Elasticsearch/Opensearch. • BS in Computer Science or related field

• 5+ years of professional engineering experience

• 4+ years of professional, modern Java experience

• Experience working in a cloud environment

• Design and architecture experience

• Experience leading projects and mentoring developers

Desired Skills & Experience

• DevOps experience is a plus

• Elasticsearch experience is a plus
