Robert Half IT Trainer in Chicago, Illinois

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Instructor/Trainer in the technology industry, based in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves developing and implementing training programs related to desktop applications for both new hires and existing staff. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining professionalism and strict confidentiality in all client and firm matters.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and conduct training programs for new employees in firm core applications, including potential telephone systems

• Collaborate with office administrators, human resources staff, and other administrative departments to understand users' training needs

• Assist in creating in-house e-learning content and maintaining application reference materials on the Firm's DMS and intranet

• Coordinate and manage training sessions during system conversions and major upgrades to ensure consistency across the firm

• Create and update training procedures, manuals, quick reference cards, and other documentation

• Conduct remote training sessions and video conferences for other offices when required

• Participate in special projects as needed and manage the Learning Management System (LMS)

• Evaluate publicly available training materials for potential use in firm training programs

• Learn new and upgraded software/hardware and assist in developing technical documentation and teaching aids.

Skills required include IT Training and Learning Management Systems. Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Instructor/Trainer role.

• Proficiency in IT Training is a prerequisite for this position.

• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems is essential.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

• The ability to develop and implement effective training programs is necessary.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances are important.

• The candidate must have a commitment to continuous professional development.

• Experience in curriculum development and instructional design is preferred.

• Proficiency in using online learning platforms and digital tools is beneficial.

• Strong organizational and time management skills are required.

• The candidate must have the ability to evaluate and assess staff training needs.

• Knowledge of current training and teaching methodologies is expected.

• The candidate must possess the ability to motivate and inspire learners.

• The ability to handle confidential information with discretion is required.

• The candidate must have a strong customer service mindset.

• Experience in conducting training needs analysis is a plus.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, is beneficial.

• The candidate should have experience in managing training budgets.
