Job Description:

Summary:

The Walsh Group is looking for motivated individuals who are eager to learn and ready to take on new challenges every day! We are looking for students currently enrolled in a college or university program to work as interns during their summer break. Our internship program offers you real-world experience working on projects for our construction management team. You will gain valuable hands-on career experience while being exposed to all facets of managing large construction projects. Our internships can be either paid or unpaid depending on your school’s requirements. The hours per week vary but generally average 20-40 hours per week. The length of the internship depends on the individual’s availability and the needs of the office.

Responsibilities:

· Schedule subcontractors, vendors, and other project resources

· Assist with the coordination of meetings, conferences, and special events

· Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phones, emails, filing, photocopying, etc.

· Work on projects and assignments related to estimating, scheduling, bidding, contracting, field reporting, purchasing, and safety

· Help manage and maintain computer files and records

· Create reports using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project, and Outlook

· Develop and update databases and spreadsheets

· Update project status charts, trackers, and logs

Qualifications:

· Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, or a similar discipline

· Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal

· Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily workload

· Detail oriented

· Able to interact professionally with clients and trade partners

· Strong organizational skills and initiative

· Ability to analyze data and present results in clear manner
