JPMorgan Chase Insurance Svc Manager III in Chicago, Illinois

Your leadership will drive operational excellence, ensuring that our clients receive best-in-class services, tailored to their insurance portfolio management needs. You will be a liaison with the deal team, the middle office, the client, Corporate Flood Program, Compliance, Audit, Risk and Legal.

Job Summary

Responsibilities include engagement early in the deal lifecycle to help facilitate obtaining data and documentation required to ensure compliance with the Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA). Communication and awareness of deal pipeline and timing will be crucial to the success of this position. In addition, this role will partner with leadership to proactively monitor significant client portfolios for upcoming insurance renewals coordinating coverage for seamless insurance oversight and compliance with flood regulation and bank policy. The role requires developing strong internal partnerships with the business areas supported as well as with the Corporate Flood Program, Compliance, Audit, Risk and Legal. This role ensures that the Insurance strategy is aligned to support our Line of Business partners and Wholesale Lending Services framework and goals. The position requires a consultative, visionary, influential, risk and results focused leader with extensive lending subject matter expertise and proven ability to work effectively in a high pressure environment.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Proactively partner to manage insurance coverage portfolio for strategic clients during both originations and life of loan servicing

  • Work with CIT leadership and the deal team to ensure insurance ownership from prefunding through servicing

  • Facilitate meetings (with representatives, as appropriate, from line of business, Corporate Flood Program, Central Insurance Team, Legal, Compliance, Client, Insurance Agent/Broker, Agent and Participant banks) when flood insurance issues/questions arise

  • Partner to exhibit ownership in managing partnerships by working closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Risk Operations, Regulatory Operations, Compliance, Audit, Legal and Finance

  • Resolve both customer and internal business partner insurance issues with a sense of urgency

  • Lead or participate in partner meetings with clients/insurance agents on insurance matters to ensure timely loan closing/funding

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities :

  • Strong background in banking/lending

  • Understand the importance of the client experience and can provide timely information to evaluate the risks and facilitate the loan closing process

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high pressure environment

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, to multiple levels of management, business partners, agent banks, clients and insurance agents

  • Ability to lead, challenge and adapt in a changing business landscape

  • Ability to focus on the key issues and influence initiatives to conclusion; results oriented

  • Strong relationship management and partnership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree

  • Experience in the financial services industry
