Job Description Summary

The Anesthesia Income Statement Leader will provide financial leadership to the Anesthesia Sub-segment of the Patient Care Solutions business with revenue of $550M, a manufacturing footprint in Madison, WI and Wuxi, China, and an R&D footprint across four global locations. The role will incorporate financial planning and analysis supporting forecasting, pacing, actuals, planning and external reporting along with leadership and operational partnership in driving growth and profitability.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain reliable monthly and quarterly estimates and actuals across the P&L. Includes monitoring pacing and leading indicators to identify risks and mitigation plans and potential opportunities to close gaps and deliver upside.

  • Provide financial analysis and commentary to support financial performance results including detailed Op Profit walk to provide insights on key drivers (volume, pricing, mix, EOP & inflation, investments & cost productivity, FX), consolidated ARC inputs and analysis for IR commentary and Q&A, and results for all employee meetings and other communications.

  • Co-Lead 3-year long term strategy and financial plan to deliver organic growth, margin expansion and cash in line with business expectations. Build detailed analysis and backups in preparation for financial reviews.

  • Partner with Program Management Organization, Engineering Organization and Product Management Organization to facilitate capital allocation prioritization, business case preparation/maintenance, implementation of new commercial offerings and regional portfolio positioning to support the delivery of business objectives.

  • Support business leadership with BD to assess inorganic activity (partnerships, acquisitions, Government, and 3rd party related agreements and funding).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Finance (or graduate of financial leadership program with 2+-years of experience)

  • Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

  • Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy-to-understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing

  • Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, V-Lookup, and Macros)

  • Fluency in English

  • Possess influencing skills across business functions and layers. Demonstrate confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and to partner with leaders to facilitate change and evolution to support business objectives

  • Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others. Maintain financial compliance.
