HVAC/Refrigeration Technician
Jetro Restaurant Depot HVAC/Refrigeration Technician is responsible for the maintenance of the HVAC and Refrigeration equipment in their assigned stores. Working closely with the Director of HVAC, Refrigeration, and Energy Management, they will be responsible for management of preventative and reactive work in their assigned stores. They will also be responsible for overseeing the timely and proper completion of 3rd party vendors, where applicable
Key Responsibilities Include:
Major and minor preventative maintenance of HVAC & Refrigeration in assigned stores to ensure maximum uptime
Troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain and repair HVAC/R equipment
Ensure all resources are available to complete the work in a timely manner to include: managing refrigerant levels, parts inventory, tracking and ordering parts, and developing relationships with branches, suppliers, and contractors
Maintain positive, working, relationships with assigned branches, regionals, and directors
Oversee work completion of 3rd party vendors, where applicable
Work alongside General Maintenance Technician, if applicable
Night/Weekend work may be required based on operation of the HVAC/Refrigeration systems
Minimum Qualifications:
Previous rack refrigeration experience
Type I/Type II Environment Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling
Hold a valid state-issued drivers license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
Vocational or Technical Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) certification and 2 years in HVAC/Refrigeration systems OR 4+ years experience in HVAC/Refrigeration systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of building controls systems
Knowledge of state, and federal, regulations pertaining to the handling of various refrigerants
Job Type: Full-time
Pay Rate: $20-$35 per hour, depending on experience and location. Actual rate will meet, or exceed, the required minimum wage applicable to the job location
