Naval Education and Training Command HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) in Chicago, Illinois

Summary You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) in the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) Chicago of NRD CHICAGO. Responsibilities You will extract personnel actions from a human resources information system for distribution to customers. You will collaborate with customers to identify and obtain missing personnel documents. You will identify gaps or inconsistencies in human resources records. You will serve as an initial reviewer of eligibility for naval service utilizing applicable directives and regulations. You will review data in a human resources information system for completeness. You will respond to customer inquiries by researching human resources rules or regulations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using computers and software to perform basic automated functions 2) Preparing reports or briefs to submit to management; and 3) Maintaining files, records, or forms. Education In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of at least four full academic years of education above high school or A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
