Who will you be working with?

Our best-in-class HR IT team is looking for a Product Delivery Manager to join Wabtec and build out the next generation of our platforms. They will be a key leader for our Human Resource Information Technology (HRIT) function focused on driving and communicating product strategy, leading cross-functional projects and programs related to core platforms like Workday and UKG, while enabling the transformation of capabilities for the organization's HR technology landscape.

How will you make a difference?

The ideal candidate is a hands-on project manager, has significant experience in developing software solutions and IT third party technical relationship management. The successful candidate must have strong firsthand expertise in software development and understanding complex enterprise systems. They must be at ease working in an agile/hybrid-agile environment with little supervision. They should embody a passion for continuous improvement and data driven efforts.

What do we want to know about you?

You must have:

  • Minimum 6 years of technical program and product management experience, specifically in the software engineering space

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in documenting product requirements for both IT and product applications in a medium to large-scale organization

  • Proven experience working in both Agile and Waterfall project management environments

  • Effective skills in product requirement gathering, analysis, and documentation for desktop, web, and mobile applications

  • Ability to use tools to model processes as part of the requirements gathering process

  • Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate requirements into technical solutions

  • Excellent project management and program delivery skills, including experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to present to and influence leadership

  • Proficient in data analysis and using insights to drive continuous improvement of HR technology offerings

  • PMP, Scrum, or other relevant certifications

  • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization

  • Exposure to HR technology implementation and change management

  • Strong technical background and understanding of HR application architectures in Workday, UKG, and other HRIT systems

  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills

  • Excellent Communication and Presentation skills

  • Good team player

  • Ability to work unsupervised

  • Strategic and creative thinking to analyze issues that may arise, and create solutions

  • Project Management knowledge & skills - Strong knowledge on contracts, claims, planning & project management tools, insurance claims; ability to learn products & technologies

  • Communication management - Strong communication & negotiation skills, stakeholder management ability

What will your typical day look like?

  • Manage complex, multi-workstream projects and programs to drive the implementation and adoption of new HR technologies

  • Coordinate efforts for the complete project and product lifecycle, from conception to delivery and ongoing maintenance

  • Translate product needs into quality requirements for stakeholders and project teams

  • Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to review requirements, deliverables, issues, and risks

  • Adherence to IT PMO standards and requirements

  • Budget management, delivering projects on time, on budget, with quality

  • Own the product roadmap and strategy for key HRIT platforms and services

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define requirements, prioritize initiatives, and deliver impactful solutions

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from IT leadership to business partners

  • Leverage data and user insights to make informed decisions and continuously improve the HRIT offerings

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine problem statements, value stories, process impacts, and solution designs

  • Act as a point of escalation and stakeholder for local site leadership on IT business application needs, serving as a true business partner

  • Define solution boundaries and scope of deliverables

  • Conduct analysis on current and future desired states

  • Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to review requirements, deliverables, issues, and risks

  • Specification and documentation of functional and non-functional requirements

  • Work with the Product Owner to break features into user stories

  • Produce training and other supporting documentation

  • Identify and define areas of improvement

  • Represent the product throughout the project lifecycle to ensure requirements are met, tested, and implemented successfully

  • Assist technically in training and coaching professional and technical staff

  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the product analysis methodology

  • Accountable for the DevOps lifecycle of managed applications, including handover of sustain structure to third parties or other support teams

  • Manage HRIT budget and financial forecast

  • Travel up to 20% as needed, including driving to other Wabtec facilities or air travel

  • Perform other duties as assigned

What about the physical demands of the job?

  • Employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

  • Employee is regularly required to work with a computer for 8 hours at a time, with minimal breaks.

  • Employee might be required to move office computer/networking around occasionally

  • The Position requires the employee to be on-site to enable effective collaboration with various stakeholders and continually assess site technology needs to perform daily duties and responsibilities.

  • Requires significant face-to-face interaction with employees on production line and other functions at the site.

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid work schedule (both on-site and remote)

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise
