Job Description Summary
In this role, you will responsible for managing the foreign exchange (FX), interest rate risk & commodity exposures for GEHC globally including the exposures resulting from Treasury activities. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Evaluates emerging regulatory guidelines. Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve policy, products, processes, and services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Evaluate the policy & process for FX, derivatives & commodities inherited at separation from GE and recommend changes that are fit-for-purpose for the Healthcare industry. Balances GEHC’s risk appetite with cost of hedging, minimizing impact to financial results and enabling business growth.
Produce interest rate, FX, and commodity strategy for exposures to minimize risk and optimize earnings opportunities within tolerance.
Partners with Asst. Treasurer – Corporate in evaluating & managing Interest rate risk for GEHC’s capital structure. Leads the execution of the same.
Partners with GEHC FP&A, Treasury FP&A and IR teams and supports messaging to investors w.r.t FX impact on financials.
Advises GEHC business segments & regions on managing FX, interest rate, commodity & embedded derivative exposures
Responsible for commodity risk management for Company – track consolidated exposures and provide quarterly pacing information to senior management, partner with local commercial and sourcing teams to recommend proactive hedging strategies to mitigate risk or identify income opportunities through supply chain hedging
Responsible for efficient execution of all derivatives. The incumbent will have extensive contact with GEHC businesses and external banks. Brings market intelligence to the organization. Translates the plethora of information available into relevant/ digestible risks & opportunities and disseminates the same to stakeholders.
Has ability to attract and retain talent. Leads a team of senior professionals who are experts in their discipline, providing professional or thought leadership. Influences policy and ensures delivery within own function, linking with other functions of the organization.
Leads others to find creative solutions to address complex problems that may impact the organization. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision. Presents business solutions to leaders in functional area. Communicates complex messages and drives change.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration or related
Minimum 10 years of experience including 3 years of strong foreign exchange experience
Familiarity with derivatives and hedge accounting as it pertains to foreign currency translation, re measurement, and synthetic funding/liabilities
Strong product knowledge of interest rate and FX derivative instruments
Desired Characteristics
Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
Excellent communication skills – able to convey complex analytical concepts and results to stakeholders with limited subject matter expertise
Strong quantitative/analytical skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to drug testing, reference verification, and background check
