AON Finance Manager in Chicago, Illinois

What the day will look like

  • Manage the day to day Regional Finance processes across solution lines including, but not limited to, monthly forecasting, month end close, and office / region reporting as directed by the Finance Director

  • Investigate and Communicate issues and areas of concern to the Finance Director.

  • Consolidate, Review and Analyze Regional deliverables for all offices within the Region and provide insight and opinions on accuracy of underlying data.

  • “Second in Command” under the Finance Director providing back up when FD unavailable.

  • Lead and Develop Regional Finance colleagues both onshore and off, Assist in the progression of their current role.

  • Develop understanding of the product offerings across solution lines and share same with colleagues within your Region. Be an Aon United leader.

  • Execute the annual Region budget process.

  • Continuously look to improve process / efficiency and accuracy.

  • Articulate finance concepts clearly, translate for leader consumption, and communicate such effectively

  • Respond to internal ad-hoc requests as assigned.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Bachelors degree required

  • 5+ years of experience desired

  • FP&A experience (Forecasting, Planning and Analysis) is required

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience presenting financials to management

  • Critical thinking and leadership skills

  • High proficiency in MS Excel and Access

  • Experience in Workday GL and TM1 a plus

    Pay Transparency Laws:

    The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $100,000 - $125,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

    The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, Illinois The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

    This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
