Overview

Our Client Operations Department manages client-specific operational tasks across virtually every practice area within the agency, including Strategy, Investment, HR, Legal, Finance and Invoice Reconciliation. Client Operations is responsible for both Agency Administration & Client Commercial Compliance.

We centralize and standardize fundamental work required across all pieces of business as well as bring tactical and detail-oriented work streams together to find smarter, faster ways of working. We create a space for those whose strengths include being highly organized problem-solvers. We help differentiate Starcom from our competitors as we establish best practices and ways of working.

Responsibilities

  • Support onboarding talent and client financial system set up

  • Build relationships with executive stake holders and key members of various practice areas across the agency

  • Play a key role in change management inclusive of process development and improvement

  • Own relationship with client finance and client procurement teams

  • Oversee & manage financial deliverables such as:

  • Media Authorizations

  • Ordered vs. approved reports

  • Billing and budget documents

  • Budget management

  • Client reporting

  • Ensure audit compliancy across all financial documents

  • Support annual scoping and staffing conversations

  • Act as primary contact between agency AR department and client AP department to resolve any delinquent remittances ensuring all clients are adhering to payment terms

  • Prepare hours logged reports and ensure teams are indexing properly

  • Partner with finance team to manage revenue forecasts, manage client P&Ls and navigate financial audits

  • Partner with HR to manage account team staffing, open roles, promotions and rotations

  • Partner with Account leads to populate Agency Business Plans

  • Support rollout, process and consistent operation of core systems and tools e.g. MediaTools

  • Provide support on new business pitches, as needed

  • Manage, train and mentor team members and take a proactive approach to the career development of direct reports

  • Foster a learning community

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in a similar role

  • 4+ years of team management experience

  • Strong ability to build relationships across multiple departments and various career levels

  • Previous experience working on Advertising initiatives, preferably within Media

  • Exceptional project management skills

  • Proficiency in making progress/completing work, even with overlapping deadlines

  • An individual who equally cares about his/her own career as well as the Associates

  • The ability to rock the Microsoft Office suite, particularly PPT and XLS (where filtering, pivoting, and charts and graphs building are key)

  • Exposure with VISIO or creating flow charts

  • Quantitative and analytical skills, yet willingness to embrace a role that requires a mix of art and science.

  • Experience developing and presenting your thoughts and ideas.

The benefits offerings listed are available to U.S. based employees, are reviewed on an annual basis, and are governed by the terms of the applicable plan documents.

Compensation Range: $119,510 - $171,675 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
