What the day will look like

Aon Consulting, Inc. seeks a Data Scientist based out of headquarters in Chicago, Illinois to perform data analysis. Conduct data analysis using descriptive statistics and trend analysis. Analyze health claims and risk datasets, including eligibility data, medical claims, and prescription drug claims data. Perform data analysis using R, statistics and data analysis, predictive analytics using SAS, and big data analytics and computer programming. Build statistical and machine learning models on health claims and risk datasets, including eligibility data, medical claims, and prescription drug claims data. Implement data ingestion process and maintain quality dataset. Utilize Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting Tools, including SAP Business Objects, to collect, analyze, and present data. Design and build visualization tools and reporting automation to communicate interpretable end-results. Deploy statistical models. Evaluate healthcare costs, outcomes, utilization, and major drivers. Support internal analytics and actuarial teams with data related requests. Maintain current knowledge on vendors and startups in the healthcare space for healthcare navigation, digital health, and care delivery. May work from home 5 days per week. Annual Salary: $94,700 - $157,900.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Requires a Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field plus two years of data analysis experience. Must have at least two years of experience in each of the following: 1. Conducting data analysis using descriptive statistics and trend analysis; 2. Performing data analysis using R, statistics and data analysis, predictive analytics using SAS and computer programming; 3. Utilizing Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting Tools, including SAP Business Objects, to collect, analyze, and present data; and 4. Designing and building visualization tools and reporting automation to communicate interpretable end-results.

Salary range or hourly pay range for the position

The salary range for this position is $94,700 - $157,900 annually.
