We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Data Engineer that is 100% remote. Operating within a leading CPA Firm - Business Management, you will be instrumental in executing a large Data Governance/Data project, leveraging your extensive Azure Data Architect experience. This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong understanding of Azure Data Bricks, Azure data stack tools like Data Factory, Synapse, and other related skills.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the team to implement and oversee a large Data Governance/Data project.

• Utilize Azure Data Bricks and other Azure data stack tools like Data Factory and Synapse to accomplish project objectives.

• Engage with SQL and tools like PySpark to handle data processing tasks.

• Leverage your experience with Fabric, if available, as this project will involve its use.

• Utilize your knowledge of Apache Spark, Database, EO/IR systems, Erwin Data, HDFS, AB Testing, Analytics, AWS Technologies, and Business Intelligence (BI) to add value to the project.

• Create and maintain Business Requirement Documents to ensure all project requirements are met.

• Make use of Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake to facilitate data management and processing.

Requirements • Must have at least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer in a CPA or Business Management firm.

• Proficiency in Apache Spark, Database, EO/IR systems, Erwin Data, and HDFS is required.

• Familiarity with AB Testing and Analytics is a must.

• Strong knowledge of AWS Technologies, Business Intelligence (BI), and Business Requirement Document is required.

• Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake is crucial.

• Must have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information systems, or a related field is required.

• A passion for staying updated with the latest advancements in technology and industry trends.

• Strong project management and organizational skills.
