Position Summary

Our Interns join us from a wide range of backgrounds and make an immediate impact working as part of a team committed to developing creative insights, implementing, and designing processes, and driving tangible results. We provide access to the training and coaching you need while you work independently or in group settings to get hands-on experience in building effective relationships and creating solutions for our clients.

With a solution-oriented approach, you will collaborate with team members to critically think, and problem solve to execute the implementation of effective processes and strategies for clients. As an Intern, you’ll spend your summer working on a client project with a project team. In addition to client work, you will also get a chance to participate in various team culture initiatives and social events.

As a Corporate Finance-Financial Institutions Advisory intern you’ll work across a variety of financial institutions on a wide range of internal audit, regulatory change management and credit, enterprise and operational risk matters.

Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with proposal, budget, and timeline development for new business opportunities

• Assist in the delivering risk assessment and internal audit planning by conducting research on client background and risks, leading internal audit risk assessment, developing internal audit plan, preparing for kick off meeting with client and other necessary planning activities.

• Assist in managing end-to-end internal audit projects, including monitoring of the scope, budget, risks and issues, and reporting thereof.

• Analyzes differences in policy management approaches internally and identify leading practices for financial institutions

• Monitor changes in the regulatory environment and assess their impact on the organization

• Ensuring the organization’s governance structures support effective risk and compliance management.

• Support internal teams to advise clients on meeting industry-specific regulatory requirements.

• Ensure that technology implementations improve business operations, customer experiences, and regulatory compliance.

• Support the execution of technology projects across various industries. Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of projects, managing cross-functional teams, including internal stakeholders, clients, and vendors.

• Updating the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and the related major risk identification process to maintain risk inventory

• Provides governance training and education related to the frameworks

Qualifications

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in banking, finance, economics, law

• Conceptual and practical thinking and implementation skills

• Excellent verbal skills, both oral and written

• Confidence and ability to uphold standards and influence partners

• Process design and analysis skills

• Time management and multi-tasking skills

• Research, analysis and judgement skills

• Initiative and relationship building and facilitation skills

Preferred Requirements:

  • MS in Enterprise Risk Management

  • Experience or certificate with Artificial Intelligence

  • Internship with relevant industry or risk management experience and/or accreditation
