Description We are offering an opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. The primary function of this role is to handle complex legal matters and projects in the field of personal injury and wrongful death claims. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will be primarily responsible for writing and preparing appeals.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and prepare comprehensive legal appeals.

• Handle cases related to personal injury and wrongful death claims.

• Represent our clients in state, federal, and appellate courts.

• Use case management software and other tools such as Adobe Acrobat and 3M for effective case management.

• Conduct legal writing and drafting for various court filings and appearances.

• Utilize skills in civil litigation and claim administration to manage cases effectively.

• Handle complex legal matters related to wrongful death claims and personal injury law.

• Ensure reliability in meeting deadlines and managing case schedules.

• Leverage experience in handling cases in the 8th circuit court of appeals.

• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints efficiently and professionally. Requirements • Must hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school

• Active member of the State Bar Association

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney/lawyer

• Proficiency in using 3M, Adobe Acrobat, and Case Management Software

• Experience in conveyancing and document management

• Ability to handle complaints and administer claims effectively

• Familiarity with consumer electronics

• Proven experience in civil litigation and court appearances

• Knowledge of court filings and procedures in civil, federal, state, and appellate courts

• Expertise in drafting legal documents and briefs for appellate cases

• Experience in handling wrongful death claims, personal injury plaintiffs, personal injury litigation, and personal injury law

• Proficient in legal writing and briefing

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• High level of professional ethics and integrity.
