Key Responsibilities:

The Analyst, Flight Operations Fatigue Risk Management serves as the primary point of contact for questions related to compensation for Flight Duty Period Extensions and provides guidance related to operational practices that impact the management of United’s daily operation. This position supports the Fatigue Risk Management Team by analyzing and processing Flight Duty Period Extensions and Exceedance reports, Fatigue Reports, Help Hub inquiries and performing AlertSafe to EtQ and pilot crew scheduling audits. The role will be expected to work closely with pilot crew scheduling, other departments within Flight Operations, the FAA, and other company divisions as necessary.

  • Processes Pilot compensation inquiries related to Flight Duty Period Extensions

  • Processes, analyzes, and closes fatigue reports in the AlertSafe system

  • Prepares monthly reports related to Pay close and Regulatory requirements

  • Performs AlertSafe to EtQ, and various pilot crew scheduling audits

  • Monitors internal and external systems and databases; provides timely responses, prepares reports and / or presentations as needed

  • Facilitates ad-hoc analysis and data collecting for internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Regulatory Compliance team

  • Collaborates with various divisions and working groups to address process improvement efforts

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 3+ years pilot crew scheduling operations experience

  • Knowledge of FAA Orders and FAR 117 regulations, United Pilot Contract (UPA), Spotfire, Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Teams

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree or related experience

  • Advanced understanding of legacy crew scheduling systems

  • Previous experience with Digital Technology Projects, operational analysis, and reporting

  • Advanced understanding of contractual pilot compensation related to Flight Duty Period extensions skills/Abilities

The base pay range for this role is $60,040.00 to $81,840.00.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
