Description We are on the lookout for a Staff Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry located in Chicago Heights, Illinois. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a range of financial duties, including managing accounts payable, processing financial transactions, and maintaining accurate records. This role is critical in ensuring the financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Handle invoice and general-ledger data entry tasks and ensure all documents are accurately maintained.

• Facilitate vendor payments, including reviewing purchase orders, and resolve any discrepancies that may arise.

• Manage the accounts payable inbox and ensure all invoices and bills are recorded and filed in a centralized location.

• Ensure communication with vendors for account statements, reconcile transactions/bills, and disburse weekly remittances after posting the payments.

• Generate weekly reports to distribute to different departments.

• Undertake ad-hoc duties as assigned.

• Use skills such as Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, and QuickBooks to perform tasks efficiently.

• Maintain confidentiality and meticulous records. Requirements • Must possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Proven experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry is a must

• Demonstrated expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close

• Proficiency in using accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks is essential

• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices

• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
