Job Duties and Responsibilities
A Linux Operations Engineer is an IT professional who is responsible for the management and operations of various systems in the private and public cloud space. These professionals will be involved throughout the entire lifecycle of the DISH Wireless Platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the complete lifecycle of Linux operating systems, focusing on security, provisioning, and automation.
Tune and configure various cloud systems to optimize performance.
Oversee backups and disaster recovery processes for data integrity.
Monitor systems for observability and performance.
Provide innovative solutions using modern deployment tools and techniques.
Lead change management and ensure the sustainability of processes and performance improvements.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical degree; two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
2 or more years of professional experience in virtualized architectures in VMWare and AWS
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
Demonstrated experience in DevOps concepts and lifecycle
Ability to break down complex problems, implement custom solutions and automate them in a secure manner
Experience with systems integration, requirements analysis, and process implementation
A strong understanding of the Linux operating system and command line
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $83,160.00/Year - $136,625.00/Year

The base pay range provided is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies. Compensation is also based on the role's location and may change depending on the work location. Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check. The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days and will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
