Job Duties and Responsibilities
DISH is seeking a full-time, onsite Journeyman Electrician to install and maintain electrical equipment at our Cheyenne, WY facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete daily maintenance checks and work assignments
Inspects and tests electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication and power circuits
Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment
Replaces faulty switches, sockets and other elements of electrical systems
Mounts motors, transformers and lighting fixtures onto positions and completes circuits according to diagram specifications
Additional duties include sweeping and mopping of equipment rooms, snow removal, operating
Ability to operate a Man lift
Capable of working indoors/outdoors during all seasons
Complete daily reports using basic PC software
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), and necessary training and experience required by The Journeyman Electrician Certification
Total of 4 years experience in a Commercial or Industrial Environment, and experience in troubleshooting and testing electrical systems
Skills and Qualifications:
Journeyman license for State of Wyoming or other reciprocating states, or is able to obtain within 6 months of hiring
Ability to read and an interpret documents such as one-line drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Be able to lift at least 60 pounds
Be able to work off ladders
Hot work experience in panels is necessary
Ability to follow all safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
Good written and oral skills
Able to operate hand tools proficiently
Be mechanically inclined
Self-motivated
Take pride in work
Complete work as required in a craftsmen like manner in conformance with requirements of local building and NEC codes
Preferred Qualification:
- Ability to operate a forklift
Scheduled Weekly Hours:
Wednesday - Saturday from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM (10% Shift Differential)

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $27.02/Hour - $38.70/Hour

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
