Overview
The Enterprise Architect provides short/long-term customer architecture recommendations that align with Oracle's best practices, focusing on Exadata, Oracle Database, security, data protection, and hybrid cloud environments. This role leverages deep solutions architect expertise and broad knowledge of hardware and enterprise integration to help customers optimize their database infrastructure while ensuring the highest levels of security and performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Broad, enterprise level, technical knowledge including Operating Systems and system configuration. Knowledge of Intel based systems, network infrastructure, and storage experience also important. Experience participating in customer engagement planning and supporting sales efforts preferred. Demonstrated ability to articulate alternatives in terms of cost, benefit, and risk where multiple solutions exist. Demonstrated ability to independently create and present highly technical business solutions in a manner appropriate for non-technical client senior executives. Broad technical knowledge of Oracle Infrastructure products and related solutions are desirable. Knowledge of competitive environments and alternative technology solutions/approaches are desirable. Familiarity and skills with other HW/SW environments are a strong plus as is understanding of Oracle's middleware stack, coupled with the ability to effectively position Oracle Infrastructure offerings vs competitive middleware products. Understanding of key industry virtualization technologies and server consolidation patterns. Experience with data center efficiencies and the latest industry trends. Ability to travel as needed. A BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
Major Responsibilities:
Provides regular updates of Oracle System products and technology to customers and demonstrates where and how Oracle Systems products and technologies can be applied to meet customers’ requirements.
Gathers data on customer business issues, analyzes solutions, and employs this information in Oracle engagements.
Reviews and influences existing customer strategic goals.
Collaborates with the customer on development of a roadmap
Collects and prioritizes customer requirements with the customer and translates customer requirements into a solution blueprint that demonstrates the requirements can be satisfied.
Provides architectural leadership over a customer project life-cycle resulting from IT strategy and design initiatives.
Provides product / solution / services expertise in pre-sales, including: solution positioning versus competition, technical and business value propositions, expected selling tactics by competition and recommended counter tactics, solution business value propositions, developing financial justifications for the solution.
Articulates alternatives in terms of cost, benefit, and risk where multiple solutions exist.
Participates in account planning and supporting sales efforts.
Provides leadership in leading external and internal technical resources in pre-sales effort.
Assisting customers with evaluations and benchmarks, system configurations, and system installations.
Contribute significant portions and/or lead responses to RFPs, RFQs and RFIs
The candidate must be able to demonstrate:

Client Engagement at multiple lower levels to affect change and align customer strategies
Clear Architecture Skills with an ability to demonstrate methodology as well as adaptability to other people's approaches, internally and with the customer
Ability to support multiple parallel engagements across multiple complex environments and customers
A history in both consulting type engagements as well as clear pre-sales and selling skills at the highest level
Ability to present in small workshops and audiences as well as large scale events with very large audiences
Write detailed proposals at both strategic and detailed levels

Responsibilities
As a Master Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from $49.71 to $95.91 per hour; from: $103,400 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 65/35 - 80/20.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
