Reporting to the Head of Billing Operations, the Senior Billing Operations Manager will lead a high-performing team responsible for overseeing Ford Pro North America’s SaaS billing, invoicing, and collections processes. This pivotal role within the Ford Pro Global Enablement Organization ensures a seamless and efficient invoicing experience for our customers.
What you'll do...
Billing Operations Management:
Oversee and manage all aspects of SaaS billing, invoicing, and payment collection, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Lead a high-performing team of billing specialists and drive continuous improvement in all functions of billing operations
Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor the billing operations team
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment
Customer Relations:
Address and resolve billing-related customer inquiries and disputes
Work closely with the customer enablement team to ensure a positive customer experience
Compliance & Reporting:
Implement and maintain billing policies and procedures specific to subscription and usage-based billing models
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (including tax, accounting, and legal)
Prepare and present regular & ad hoc reports on billing operations, aging receivables, and other KPIs
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Lead cross-functional teams to develop, design, test, and implement billing and invoicing solutions. Identify risks, gaps, and progress to leadership
Work with Product Owners and key stakeholders to provide regular verbal and written project updates regarding design, implementation, and testing status
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into billing operations

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in billing, finance, or operations management, with at least 3 years in a SaaS environment
At least 2+ years of experience in a senior or leadership role within SaaS billing operations
At least 2+ years of experience managing recurring revenue models and subscription billing
Technical Skills
2+ years of experience with SaaS billing platforms (e.g. Zuora, Chargify, Recurly, Stripe, or similar)
2+ years of working with SaaS metrics (e.g. MRR, ARR, churn rate, LTV)
2+ years of experience with data analysis and financial reporting tools
Leadership Skills
2+ years of experience leading and managing a team, including performance management and professional development

Masters of Business Administration
10+ years of experience in billing, finance, or operations management
5+ years of Zuora experience
Proven and relevant customer billing in a high-growth and fast-paced SaaS environment
Deep understanding of SaaS business models, pricing strategies, and customer lifecycle management
Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in the SaaS space
Strong decision-making skills and the ability to handle complex issues
Communication Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams
Analytics Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to analyze billing data and identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
Organizational Skills
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work
