Description We are actively seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the retail food store industry in Chesterfield, Missouri. The role involves managing customer accounts, processing customer credit applications, and maintaining accurate customer records. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process a high volume of customer credit applications in a timely manner.

• Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure data accuracy.

• Efficiently resolve customer inquiries, providing high-quality customer service.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Key and code invoices into the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Perform data entry tasks, including entering data into Microsoft Excel.

• Ensure all account payable tasks are completed in accordance with industry standards.

• Collaborate with the accounts payable team to improve processes and enhance service delivery.

• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.

• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory for this role.

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is required.

• Strong data entry skills, particularly numeric data entry, are essential.

• Familiarity with the retail industry, specifically food stores, is preferred.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is important.

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed.

• Proficiency in using accounting software would be beneficial.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is crucial.

• High school diploma or equivalent level of education is required.

• Some experience in a similar role in the accounting field would be advantageous.
